National Account Manager
Location: North West
Highly reputable and hugely successful potato growing and processing business.
Their customer base ranges from ready meal manufacturers, food service companies, food service distributors and individual restaurants and fish and chip shops.

Purpose of the Job: As part of the company’s exciting expansion plans, they are now recruiting for an ambitious and dynamic sales and marketing professional to head up the Sales and Marketing division. Reporting
to the Chief Executive, ultimately, you will help the company meet and surpass business expectations and contribute to the company’s rapid and sustainable growth.
Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
Develop and deliver a marketing sales strategy within agreed budget.
Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
Create monthly board report reviewing current sales data, sales pipeline, and summary of new and existing customer interaction and/or attendance at events.
Involved on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences and report back findings.
Actively populate the website with the latest news keeping it fresh and relevant.
Develop and manage relationships with new and existing customers in order to maximise sales opportunities.
Ensure that, where required, there is a co-ordinated approach to the multifunctional contact between operational team and new and existing customers.
Acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of products, processes, and manufacturing capabilities so that these can be matched to customer requirements in the most effective manner.
Develop a detailed understanding of the customer's business, the competitive marketplace, category performance and consumer insight, in order that the company can secure its position as a "trusted category
Hold regular meetings, where required, with designated key customer contacts to effectively pursue business objectives.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
Must be hungry and driven.
Proven experience as an Account Manager or relevant role within in the fresh produce or food manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in written English.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office especially MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
Fast learner and passion for sales.
Excellent ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Ability to negotiate with professional buyers.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach delivers a complete solution.
£40K - £45K DOE + bonus + benefits TBC
