The Job Role Details:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outdoor Leisure & Seasonal Department Manager. Leading your team in pulling all this vital activity together so that our customers have a truly unique and memorable shopping experience. Your focus will always be on the customer and meeting their expectations, but you will also have responsibility for driving sales and profitability. The position is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service and be meticulous to detail in terms of product placement, standards, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading your team

  • Maintaining high levels of customer service

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Be meticulous to the detail of product placement, standards, presentation, visual elevation, and overall look and feel

  • Responsibility for driving sales and profitability

  • Manage stock

  • Use an Epos system

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:

  • Be able to recognise and act on sales opportunities

  • Ability to manage and develop a team

  • Be able to use reports to improve performance

  • Manage stock from entry to exit within the centre

  • Have an energetic personality with an ability to easily engage with and connect with our target customers

  • Have a creative and entrepreneurial attitude towards plant retailing

  • Be an excellent communicator

  • Be able to use an Epos system
