​R&D Agronomist – Seed Services
Location: Midlands / Yorkshire

The Industry: Agronomy, Agrochemicals, Seed Breeding, Trials

Purpose of the Job:
My client are recruiting for an experienced Agronomist to help develop their services directly targeted to support the seed breeding sector. This will involve liaising with clients and staff to facilitate the production of small and large plot variety trials around the country.

Role Responsibilities:
Preparation of seed, drilling, assessing and harvesting of variety plots. This exciting opportunity will also involve the active development of the seeds services within the UK. This could include the establishment of additional regional sites and assistance utilising new technologies.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
Ideally you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant life sciences subject and preferably have at least 4 years’ experience in seed breeding variety trials. You will need to be able to work outside normal office hours according to workloads, be computer literate and hold a full current driving licence.

The Package:
A competitive salary according to experience will be offered plus company car, pension and health care. The role could also be suited to an individual who is looking for career progression. Relevant training and guidance will be provided for a suitable candidate.
