Research & Development Agronomist

Location of the Job: East of England. Office based position, going out on farms regularly.

Salary and Benefits Package:

  • Basic salary of £22,000 - £29,000 per year, depending on experience.

  • 20 days holiday allowance, plus 3 days for Christmas/New Year and 1 for your birthday.

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • No company vehicle is provided within the package. However, a works van is supplied for use whilst you are carrying out trials on farm.

  • There will be opportunities for voluntary international work if you would like it - European crop study trials.

About The Company:

A specialist supplier of technical assistance, product development consulting, and research services to the agronomy and crop protection sector. Carrying out field and laboratory research on and within agricultural crops.

Key Responsibilities:
You will…

  • Working amongst a small and friendly team of two, you will provide technical support and assistance in all aspects of regulatory field studies and experiments, within defined technical and quality guidelines and operating procedures.

  • This will involve conducting small plot safety and efficacy experiments to assess and record the effects of a wide range of agrochemicals and other agricultural inputs.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant life sciences / trials / agronomy.

  • Have at least 1-2 years' exposure working in a field trials position.

  • Happy and able to work outside of normal office hours according to workloads, as and when required.

  • Be computer / IT literate.

  • Hold a full current driving licence.

  • Keen and enthusiastic.
