​NMR is a leading provider of testing and information management services in the UK cattle industry. These services verify the health, fertility and production status of GB dairy herds through a range of recording and testing services and also provide information to demonstrate the provenance of GB dairy products and fulfil the requirements of various product assurance schemes.

NMR is looking to appoint a full time Retail Account Manager to ensure that NMR Group services are aligned effectively to the needs of the retail sector and ensure that existing direct and indirect contractual arrangements are fulfilled effectively. This is a key role within the NMR Group requiring an individual with ambition, an eye for detail and experience in managing the provision of a high-quality service to corporate customers in the food sector. The role is also looking for an individual with excellent communication skills at all management levels and a good understanding of retailer objectives in terms of sourcing dairy products such that new business opportunities driven by the retail sector are identified and pursued effectively.

The role is home based with a national remit and involves working within a dynamic business development team.

Essential Key Skills:

-Excellent communication skills – both oral and written

-Excellent understanding of existing NMR/NML systems and lab processes

-Strong understanding of the GB dairy industry and factors affecting the technical performance of dairy herds

-Excellent organisational skills with an attention to detail

-Strong negotiation skills – consultative selling

-Strong IT skills – particularly data collation and presentation

-Ability to use initiative and work as both an individual and as part of a team

-Flexible approach to work hours and tasks

Key Responsibilities:

-To establish and develop effective working relationships with key contacts in the retailer community to maintain and build revenue streams through retailer driven initiatives

-To highlight to retailers the merits of NMR Group services to maximise uptake – which may include the generation of technical reports and making technical presentations

-To oversee the provision of services to retailers and take responsibility for addressing any issues in service provision that may arise

-To maintain systems to track progress in NMR Group engagement with retailer pools

-To ensure all relevant parties across NMR are aware of retailer requirements and how these can best be fulfilled using NMR systems
