Ruminant Nutritionist Somerset/East Devon
FeedCo are a dynamic ruminant feed company base on the edge of Exeter. Formed in 2015 FeedCo has grown quickly to have a significant market presence in the South West. We make science based rationing and advice our goal is; Working with farmers to drive production and efficiency principally in dairy, but also across the range of ruminant production systems. Working hard, yet keeping our sense of humour is important to us, and we would like to find someone like-minded for a new role. This role will seek to expand our geographical area in Somerset and East Devon.
Main responsibilites
This Ruminant Nutritionist position will be field based. Working both internally and selling to customers, this person will need good communication and social skills to build long term business relationships. In time, the role will develop into providing nutritional support to a client list which needs good organisation and time management skills.
Experience required
Farm experience and a keen interest in ruminant production, with a particular focus on dairy will be essential. Building on this foundation, nutritional training will be provided to build up the knowledge required to execute the role well. We are all still learning and team training is important to us. Prior ruminant nutrition experience is preferred but not essential.
The right candidate will need to be IT proficient, self-motivated and ambitious. Training and support will be provided to help them develop a long term career in ruminant nutrition.
Salary and hours
Salary will fit level of experience, car will be provided.
Hours of work; Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
