​Service Manager

Location of the Job: Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.

The Company: Is a specialist manufacturer and distributor of farming machinery.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Farming Machinery, Heavy Machinery.

The Job Role details:
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager you will be responsible for managing the workshop staff.

Key Responsibilities:
You will;

  • Manage the Service Technicians day to day workload.

  • Be prepared to work long hours when needed in season.

  • Be a good communicator.

  • Look presentable at all times to promote the company brand and image.

  • Have good IT skills and be able to use these in accordance to the role.

  • Actively participate in Company training & health & safety training.

  • Actively make suggestions to improve the efficiency in the way the Company operates.

  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic files and where relevant in accordance with the data protection act.

  • Attain and maintain a good market and competitor knowledge.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;

  • Experience of service management within an Agricultural Machinery Dealership.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of the agricultural and farming industry.

  • Sound technical knowledge and understanding.

  • Proven experience managing a team of Service Technicians.

  • Have the attitude and enthusiasm to be part of something a little different as part of a manufacturer owned retail outlet.

Additional Information: This is a permanent full-time position. 40 hour basic working week.

Salary package: £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary depending on experience.
