Location of the Job: West Midlands & East Midlands: Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire & surrounding areas.

The Job Role Details:
Due to high workloads, our client is now recruiting for an experienced Dairy & Refrigeration Engineer, who is looking for a step-up in their career to be a Service Manager – who is happy to remain a hands-on Service Engineer, as well as having Management responsibilities, heading up the team of Dairy Engineers and their workload.

Key Responsibilities:
You will:

  • Be responsible for working out on farm, liaising with and working alongside farmers.

  • Managing a small team of Dairy Engineers.

  • Assist with the service, installation, maintenance and repairs of dairy and milking machinery.

  • Pick up required dairy parts and drive them to site.

  • Travel to meet with customers on farm.

  • Work on-call and out of hours, as and when required.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • An experienced Dairy & Refrigeration Service and Installation Engineer.

  • Worked on Dairy & Milking machinery, equipment, parlours, robots, tanks in a previous role.

  • Good knowledge of dairy / milking machinery e.g.: DeLaval, BouMatic, Lely, Dairymaster, GEA, Fullwood, Pearson, Afimilk, Milkrite, Kurtsan or alike / similar equipment.

  • Have refrigeration engineer experience.

  • An F Gas certificate.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.

  • 40 hour basic working week.

  • Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM.

  • On-call requirements.

  • Relocation support and / or short-term accommodation may also be on offer to the successful candidate.

Salary Package: £35,000 - £47,000 basic salary depending on experience.
