Job Title: Store Manager – Country Store

Location: Axminster

The Company:

Our client, a well-established country store specialising in the farming and agricultural sector are looking to further expand their retail management team by introducing a new Store Manager. They have been established for over 40 years and are continually reinvesting and expanding. This company are committed to providing the highest quality service and products to their customers.

The industry:

Retail - Country Store - Pet and Bird, Farm and Smallholder, Hardware and DIY, Clothing and Footwear, Equestrian, Home and Gift

The successful Store Manager will be responsible for:

  • Motivate and manage the retail team.

  • Manage all aspects of the store operations with focus on driving sales.

  • Providing the highest level of Customer Service to ensure all customers are provided an enjoyable shopping experience.

  • Monitor competitor activities

  • Lead members events

  • Manage multiple workstreams and projects.

  • Work towards Retail targets, budgets, and costings

  • Merchandising

  • Overseeing ordering and stock control

The ideal Store manager will have/ be:

  • Retail management experience (ideally within Agricultural / Farming)

  • Excellent customer handling skills

  • The ability to lead a team.

  • A friendly, confident, and informed approach

  • Strong organisational and decision-making skills.

  • Ideally a background in agriculture

  • Customer focussed and results driven

  • Great IT and computer skills

Additional Information:

This is a Permanent Full time position

You will be based in Axminster

The working hours are between: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Saturday 9am – 5pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm

Full product training will be provided.

 Salary:

£35,000 per annum + Benefits
