Team Co-ordinator
Location: East Midlands

Purpose of the Job: A fantastic opportunity has become available for aTeam Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will need to provide leadership, guidance, expertise to the UK GLP Study Management Team to achieve the business’s agreed strategic, financial and quality objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership, guidance and expertise and support to the UK GLP Study Management team.

  • Maintain close liaison with business/GLP management and study management team members and quality assurance to ensure studies are conducted, recorded, reported and archived with appropriate accuracy and timeliness.

  • Ensure KPI’s are met.

  • Fulfil the role of Study Director and/or Principal Investigator as indicated in relevant study/field plans in accordance with the appropriate regulatory standards (GLP).

  • Monitor, forecast and control the volumes of work within the UK GLP study management team to achieve pre-agreed financial objectives and targets. Ensure that pre-agreed levels of technical consistency are achieved.

  • Attend/contribute to various study management meetings as required.

  • Ensure all critical phases of allocated studies/trials are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the study plan, test guidelines and appropriate regulatory standards (GLP), relevant SOP’s and the business’s policy.

  • With reference to the designated Supervisor, make recommendations on the team’s resource requirements and assist with cost control.

  • Hire, motivate, develop and retain relevant technical employees.

  • Supervise the preparation/control of quotations and contracts within the allocated teams/units using the appropriate business systems. Provide the business with periodic status reports.

  • Oversee the checking of raw data and production of reports within agreed schedules. Ensure that pre-agreed levels of technical consistency are achieved.

  • Assume overall responsibility for writing study/field plans, checking raw data, results of statistical analysis and final reports for allocated studies.

  • Make recommendations on/assist in furthering levels of standardisation and internal consistency within designated area of responsibility.Liaise with members of the Quality Unit to achieve/maintain appropriate regulatory compliance (GLP) with designated studies.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in a Life Sciences subject with at least 5 years’ experience in the crop protection industry/2 years man management experience.

  • Knowledge of global processes and regulatory requirements, including experience in the development and production of agrochemical products and agricultural practice.

  • Be customer focussed and concern for quality.

  • Demonstrate a strong drive for high quality output and be clear on expectations, direction and requirements.

  • Ability to achieve excellent performance and have a positive attitude.

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal understanding in a multi-cultural business.

  • Empathy and cultural sensitivity.

  • A high level of initiative and motivation as well as being an enthusiastic team player.

  • Ability to travel as and when required.

  • IT literate in Microsoft packages.
