Purpose of the Job: This exciting technical role has become available due to succession and growth.
Role Responsibilities:
Management of the technical team to ensure compliance of food safety, quality and legality at all times.
Maintain and develop the Quality Management and HACCP systems to ensure that both customer and legal obligations are delivered.
Manage, conduct and maintain all third party accreditations and specifically BRC.
Manage customer, internal and supplier audits to achieve successful outcomes.
Manage and resolve all technically related customer queries, carrying out thorough investigations and corrective actions.
Ensure that all supplier, internal and customer specifications are accurate and up to date.
Manage supplier approval on an ongoing basis.
Ensure site hygiene standards are met at all times.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
Technical strengths:
Ideally experienced in the food ingredients sector.
A degree in Food Science or substantial sector relevant experience.
Knowledge and experience of HACCP and BRC standards.
Well-developed organisational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Understanding the needs of retailers.
Personal qualities:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
Well-developed commercial awareness with a proven ability to manage customer and supplier relationships.
Good team player with proven ability to work within and across teams.
Clear understanding and commitment to the business.
Salary Package: Highly competitive depending on experience.
