Our client is a newly established business that have established a new specialist Bank dedicated purely to UK agriculture. This is the first Bank in the UK that has been created for farmers.

They are a niche Agricultural bank formed by the industry to support the industry. The business and team spend all day every day working with farms and key suppliers to lend to just one sector – farming, The Agricultural Bank.

There are 4 areas of the service that our client will provide to the farming community and their suppliers, the distributor network that include;
Excellent customer service when executing tasks requested by the Bank or by the farmer customer, always completed in an efficient, polite and capable manor.

Building personal relationships with all customers to ensure you understand their business and meet their banking needs.

Offering competitive savings and borrowing rates.

Offering secure online and mobile platforms that are intuitive and easy to use – allowing the farmer and distributor to self-service wherever possible.

The Job Role details:

The Agricultural Banking Relationship Manager is very important customer facing and critical role for the business. You will possess sound marketing and sales skills in order to build trust and confidence in selling the brand – which in turn will support the growth of the business.

Key Role Responsibilities:

We have exciting opportunities to join our new and expanding sales team that will be home based and supported from our client’s head office. A dynamic and confident person is required in this key role preferably with prior agricultural credit knowledge and portfolio management experience. An in-depth knowledge of agricultural and horticultural production systems is a must as is the ability to build superior relationships within the rural community.
Our client will also be interested to hear from people with experience in financing on farm green energy projects.

You will be speaking and working with farmers on a daily basis, growing your portfolio by identifying whereby customers could use the products and services. These products include; term loans, revolving credit accounts, and savings accounts. You will already have strong communication skills, a natural sales ability, a friendly attitude and an understanding of the agricultural industry. You will build strong relationships with farmers and distributors and become a trusted point of contact.

This role will be home based in strategic UK locations with a large degree of travel and farm visits conducted in order to complete your role and grow your customer base. You will also work closely with the wider sales team and credit risk managers in order to achieve success.

Resilient nature

Previous experience in a similar sales role

Full UK or equivalent driver’s license

Agricultural background 

Financial Services experience


Salary package:

£ Top Salary Package available to be discussed at interview.
