Technical Support Manager – Machinery Manufacturer - National
Location of the Job: Candidates must be living within, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, East Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and surrounding areas - to be commutable to the main depot.
The Company: Our client is a specialist Farm Machinery Manufacturer who supply a range of farm machinery and tillage equipment including: cultivators, drills, mowers and more.
The Industry: Farm machinery, Agricultural machinery, farm equipment, tillage machinery, tillage equipment.
The Job Role details: An experienced Agricultural Engineer is now required to fulfil this Technical Support Manager position. Ideally you will have proven experience in an agricultural machine diagnostics role, used to seasonal repair, routine maintenance and servicing.
This is a physical role that involves working on and off site – therefore a flexible approach to working hours is essential (as you will be required to work, on call, out of hours, on a rota basis)
Key Responsibilities:
You will;
Service, repair and maintain tillage equipment including: cultivators, drills, harrows and mowers.
60% of the works will be mechanical functions. 40% of the works will be electronic software diagnosing.
Load and unload trucks, check inventory levels or key products to support the business through peak seasons.
Support in preparing and attending shows and events.
Provide diagnostic, demonstration and technical support to dealers, and in some instances the operator.
Provide training to the technical teams at dealer level.
Manage the warranty programme.
Installation of certain key-lines with dealers.
Be based from home / the Lincolnshire depot, and will be required to travel off site to visit customers as and when required - nationally and internationally.
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
You will have / be;
Experience in a similar role.
A sound knowledge of Agricultural machinery and equipment – ideally tillage equipment. (However, other similar Agricultural machinery experience will be considered)
Strong IT skills, communication skills and customer service skills.
Happy to travel in a field service role.
Prepared to travel nationally for work and internationally for training.
Have agricultural dealership work experience.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent full-time role.
Extensive travelling, overnight stays included in both the UK, Republic of Ireland and head office Italy.
Salary package: A basic salary of £26,000 - £29,000 per year, depending on experience.
