Worker Welfare & Office Administrator - The Job Role Details:

You will play a central role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day administration of the farm while supporting worker welfare, accommodation coordination, and compliance requirements. Working closely with the management team, you will act as the key point of contact between the farm business and its workforce, helping to create a safe, organised, and supportive working environment.

This role combines office administration, workforce coordination, and welfare responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people while maintaining strong organisational and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for workers, visitors, and staff within the farm office
  • Conduct worker welfare check-ins and support safeguarding procedures to ensure wellbeing and ethical working practices
  • Verify Right to Work documentation and maintain accurate personnel records
  • Coordinate worker inductions and onboarding processes for new arrivals
  • Manage and allocate onsite accommodation, recording occupancy and addressing maintenance requests
  • Maintain welfare facilities and ensure accommodation standards remain professional and compliant
  • Assist workers with practical matters such as HMRC queries, pension information, and medical appointments
  • Maintain clear communication with the workforce through multilingual notice boards and updates
  • Provide administrative support to the farm management team and directors
  • Assist with compliance documentation and audits relating to labour standards
  • Prepare reports relating to workforce or production data where required

Ideal Candidate Skills & Experience:

  • Strong administrative or office management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support a diverse workforce
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Professional, approachable, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Experience working in agriculture, horticulture, or fresh produce environments is advantageous

Desirable:

Ability to speak Romanian or Russian to support communication with seasonal workers
Previous experience working in farm administration, labour compliance, or worker welfare roles
Experience working with agricultural or workforce management software

Working Hours:

Full-time, with some flexibility required during peak seasonal periods
