The Job Role Details:
Our client is seeking to recruit an Agricultural Mechanical Fitter, to help maintain their extensive range of agricultural machinery. The successful applicant will provide a high-quality repair and maintenance service and be part of their maintenance and service team who ensure that all servicing; repairs and maintenance tasks are carried to fully support the agricultural team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day responsibility (including Health and Safety) for the effective maintenance of the equipment, this includes good housekeeping and correct use of personnel protective equipment. 
- Ensure all assets have 3 monthly planned preventative maintenance. 
- Ensure reactive jobs are completed in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner. 
- Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines. 
- Be experienced in Fabricating and Welding, 
- Ensure that maintenance records are completed and administered correctly. 
- Able to work and operate well within a team but also confident to use own initiative when required. 
- Flexible, will be required to work extra hours during peak season, and occasionally working off sites. 
- Complete and oversee team’s training and development. 
Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
- Clean driving licence required. 
- Forklift driving qualification desirable; however, training can be provided. 
- Hydraulics experience desirable 
- Appropriate Mechanical Engineering Qualification desirable 
- Previous experience of servicing equipment in an agricultural setting 
- Welding and fabrication experience desirable 
- Abrasive Wheels desirable 
- General maintenance experience required. 
- Electrical experience/qualification desirable 
Personal Qualitied & Behavioural Traits:
- Ability to be reactive and punctual. 
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team. 
- Flexibility and adaptability and able to use initiative. 
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team. 
- Any other ad hoc duties appropriate for the position. 
Salary package:
£ 18,000 p.a. - £35,000 p.a. –  Experience Dependant
