The Company:

Our client is an extremely well-established family farming business growing Fresh Produce crops. Due to consistent growth and expansion, they are seeking to recruit a new Sprayer Operator.

The Job Role Details:

Our client is seeking to recruit a skilled Sprayer Operator, to work with fresh produce, on their large mixed vegetable farm. This farm produce potatoes, onions, carrots, and parsnips. The successful applicant will be committed to focusing purely on spraying and must have a PA1/ PA2/ PA4S/ PA6 certification ideally however is not essential. Overtime will be available and will be paid at a higher rate (see below for pay information).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day responsibility (including Health and Safety) spraying of crops and farm produce.

  • Purely a Sprayer Operating role.

  • Applying pesticides with support of experience/ PA1/ PA2/ PA4S/ PA6 certifications.

 

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have PA1 and PA2.

  • PA4S certification would be desirable.

  • Will need extensive experience in a similar role.

  • Capable to work individually and within a team.

  • Must take pride in the quality of work and be self-disciplined.

  • Will have great communication skills.

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Should be able to maintain their own equipment.

  • A flexible approach to working hours required.

Salary package:

£10 - £15 per hour DOE

Overtime available.

No accommodation available – must be commutable to the farm or willing to re-locate.
