The Company:
An established contracting business.

The Job Role:
As contracts manager, you will manage projects in a structured, commercially focused and professional manner from initial enquiry through to procurement and delivery completion, settlement and archive of all project material, complying with Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety management systems. In your role, you will also be responsible for overseeing site staff, foreman, and sub-contractors.

Location: Southern England based with travel split between the office and project sites as required.

Salary Package: Circa £60,000 basic salary depending on skills and experience + Company Vehicle + Bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
Be proactive in business development, generating leads and enquiries, follow up, preparing and submitting tenders or estimates, convert to contracts, oversee contracts and assume complete financial responsibility, all to be done in a timely and efficient manner.

Effectively coordinate and manage company labour, plant, equipment, and materials, while managing subcontractors and suppliers where required.

Uphold high standards of Health and Safety across all sites, ensuring full adherence to company procedures and legislation's, including CDM regulations, and actively promoting a positive safety culture.

Ensure all operations are conducted in line with environmental legislation and regulations, company policies, actively minimising environmental impact wherever possible.

Adhere to established quality procedures, identifying continuous improvement opportunities where appropriate.

Promote cost control and operational efficiency, ensuring company resources are utilised responsibly and effectively.

Maintain exceptional standards, ensuring the continuance of the company's reputation and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Contribute significantly to annual turnover of contract work and activities, demonstrating commercial viability.

Upon successful completion of probation, you will participate in and contribute to management team meetings.

Candidate Requirements:
Experience working as a project manager or contracts manager ideally with a background in sports construction.
Strong knowledge and understanding of materials, and construction methods, and integration of principles with civil engineering solutions.
Confident communicator with the ability to organise workloads and engage professionally with clients face to face.
Proven ability to oversee and manage multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams efficiently.
Commercially aware, with experience in budget management, contracts, and variations.
High level of problem-solving ability, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Holds a full UK driving licence.
