Groundcare Machinery Service Engineers & Service Technicians

Location of the Job: South East England & South East Midlands; Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, North London and surrounding counties.

The Company: Our client is a highly reputable & established Agricultural & Groundcare machinery and service specialist.

The Industry: Agricultural Machinery, Construction Machinery, Groundcare Machinery, Commercial Machinery, John Deere, Textron, Ransomes Jacobsen, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, Toro, Club Car, Mowing Equipment, Utility Vehicles, ATVs, JCB, McHale, McConnell, CLAAS.

The Job Role Details:
Due to the ongoing and continuing success of the business, opportunities have now become available for highly motivated & skilled Service Engineers and Service Technicians to work on a range of Agricultural, Groundcare and Commercial Machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Service Manager you will be required to:

  • Service and maintain Agricultural & Groundcare Machinery (John Deere, Textron, Ransomes Jacobsen, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, Toro, Club Car, Mowing Equipment, Utility Vehicles, ATVs and alike)

  • Have a keen eye for detail, reporting machinery defects to management and upselling company services to customers.

  • Diagnose, rectify and resolve faults in: electrics, hydraulics, powertrain and more.

  • Operate the diagnostics software using laptop / PC (training will be provided)

  • Complete all relevant paperwork required.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Groundcare industry.

  • Experience working in a main dealership, working on modern equipment.

  • Practical and proven engineering experience in a similar role.

  • Strong skills in: Decision-making, reliability, able to work alone & as part of a team, excellent work ethic with a strong desire to succeed at work.

  • IT literate.

  • Within 1 hours commute of the depot.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • Basic working week is 39 hours.

  • Working hours are: Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 4.30 PM and Friday 8 AM - 3.30 PM.

  • This is a workshop / depot based role but will require occasional door-to-door travel for work.

  • Candidates from a Military, HGV, Constriction Engineering background are also considered - as long as you are aware of the long and occasional unsociable hours.

Salary Package: A basic hourly pay rate of £11 - £15 per hour depending on experience.
