The Job Role Details:

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen within the aftersales department - we are now looking for a Senior Parts Sales and Inventory Support Specialist.

Reporting directly to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for a small team, to work in a high paced, customer focussed department.

You will be able to demonstrate exceptional team skills, a degree of flexibility and the ability to learn complex machine systems.

You will be responsible for:

  • Daily management of stock and inventory levels to meet customer expectations and adhere to internal guidelines, including monitoring stock movements and arranging/overseeing returns to the main parts division.

  • Co-ordinate with the technical support and service teams to establish and routinely review stock levels for all equipment models, ensuring cost-efficient and customer-focused parts ordering (particularly for machine breakdowns and repairs).

  • Parts sales - manage direct customer sales both over the counter and by telephone.

  • Manage the returns process for parts, ensuring work orders are raised accurately and that service work is processed efficiently.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, using business performance data and equipment utilisation insights to enhance future stock and product offerings.

  • Build strong working relationships with technical teams to support the ongoing development and sharing of internal technical knowledge.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…

  • Good working knowledge or experience within the heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, forestry, construction or plant machinery sector.

  • Previous experience in parts operations in a similar role.

  • Conversant with IT systems.

  • Strong customer service and technical support.

  • Strong organisational and planning abilities, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • The ability to work proactively, both independently and as part of a wider team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
