Livestock and Procurement Coordinator

About Us:
Supplier of assured British beef products to retailers, butchers and food service professionals across the EU.

The Job:
An exciting position is available for a Livestock and Procurement Coordinator to join the team.


Job Responsibilities:
Ambassador for the business, representing the brand and actively promoting effective working relationships with suppliers.

Ensure efficient running of internal haulage, whilst exploring opportunities to expand driving department.

Ensure the smooth flow of livestock from the procurement to lairage stage.

Working closely with the procurement manager to maintain a consistent supply of cattle to deliver customer expectations.

Ensure all livestock arrives to site in a timely manner, preventing the downtime of production.

Handling phone calls in a professional manner.

Managing the procurement diary.

Creating reports to feedback information to management and procurement staff, competent in Microsoft Packages.

Tracking the trends of suppliers and aiding the growth of the supply chain.

Ensure maintenance of vehicles: services, MOT, fuel purchasing.

Completing daily run sheet.

Take part in ongoing training and development to progress in your role.

Be accountable, approachable and punctual at all times.

Participate in team meetings, producing presentations for senior management as required.

Work closely with the procurement team to coordinate business needs, ensuring haulage is as efficient and cost effective as possible.

Willingness to learn and think outside the box.

Salary:
£25,000 - £27,000

Location:
Shropshire.

Candidate Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and able to communicate effectively within the department.

Excellent attention to detail.

Can work well within a team environment and under pressure.

The ability to manage the day to day whilst challenging the norm in a positive and constructive mindset.

Good understanding of Agricultural standards/expectations.

Customer service experience.

Proficient in Excel.

Desirable but not essential to have experience with PowerBI.
