About Us:
A leading independent gardening company who is now looking for a Plant Area Manager to join their team.
The Job:
An exciting position is available for a Plant Area Manager with horticultural management experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Managing the plant area profit and loss to optimise profit contribution.
Working with the garden centre manager to manage the plant area retail space optimising the customer experience, team member work environment and commercial contribution.
Supporting with the recruiting, motivation and day to day management of the team to ensure the successful delivery of the annual garden centre objectives.
Support and contribute to the annual business for the garden centre to clarify the financial ambition.
Resolve customer issues and complaints to bring about effective resolution and encourage customers to return.
Ensure an efficient management in resourcing the garden centre to optimise the customer experience and cost management.
Works in collaboration with the horticultural director to order plants and maintain an authoritative offer whilst supporting the local trends and customer demands.
Salary:
Up to £42,000 depending on experience.
Location:
South London
Candidate Requirements:
Horticultural Management experience within a customer-orientated retail environment is essential.
Responsible for ordering plans in an independent capacity is essential.
Working knowledge of the UK Horticultural seasonality is essential.
Horticultural qualifications are desirable.
