About Us:
Supplier of assured British beef products to retailers, butchers and food service professionals across the EU.

The Job:
An exciting position is available for a Quality Control Technician to join the growing team. The role will be based within the Abattoir and/or the Boning Hall. The role has great progression routes through the Quality department.

Job Responsibilities:
Visual carcass inspections and necessary trimming to agreed procedures and schedules (CCP1)

Checking for contamination and advise department supervisors/QA of any issues on the production lines.

Raise internal non-conformances when necessary and inform all relevant personnel.

Complete daily inspection records.

Adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production.

Health and Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:
To take reasonable care or yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions whilst at work.

Adhere to the Company's H&S Policy.

Do not to interfere with or misuse anything that has been provided for your health, safety or welfare.

Promote a safe working culture throughout your department and site.

Understand and comply with the Company's Environmental Policy.

Adhere to all safe working procedures and /or training.

Salary:
£11.50 per hour

Location:
Shropshire

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday
8am - 4:30pm

Candidate Requirements:
Understand the importance of health, safety, and hygiene.

Previous work experience in the meat industry is desirable.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Be methodical and pay attention to detail.

Be able to build good working relationships with people.
