Service Advisor

  • Do you have a knowledge and understanding of Agricultural and Farming machinery?

  • Do you have an interest in providing advice and support within a dealership?

Location of the Job: Dorset.

Salary and Benefits Package:

  • £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (experience and growth department).

  • Holiday - 21 days + bank holidays.

  • Equipment and tools.

  • Company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and IT based applications.

  • At times the post-holder will be expected to perform duties outside of this job description in order to ensure the maintenance of a high-level service to our customers.

  • Auto-enrolment pension as standard.

  • Company sick pay after 12 months service.

Additional information:

  • Based at the depot, and visits customers and other depots, as required.

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • Opening hours 8am - 6pm weekdays, 8am - 1pm Saturdays.

  • Saturday working on rotation.

The Job Role Details:

We are looking for a personable service advisor to act as the liaison between customers and service technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
You will…

  • Ensure customer service by working with customers to determine their vehicle issues.

  • Work with technicians to convey to customers the repair timeline and repair descriptions.

  • Consult with technicians regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives.

  • Use your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.

  • Answer questions about service outcomes and scheduling, and booking appointments.

  • Provide customers with information and advice on warranty protections.

  • Call customers to advise them about service changes.

  • Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.

  • Ensure all details on services rendered and costs are related to customers, and processing their payments.

  • Liaise with service technicians about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of agricultural machinery.

  • Experience in the agricultural industry.

  • Strong organisational, decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Good IT skills.

  • Full UK driving licence
