The Job Role;
You’ll be at the heart of growing the freshest, highest-quality salads and herbs. As our Sprayer Operator, you'll be responsible for the application of crop protection products and fertiliser to salad and herb crops. Outside of spraying there will be a requirement to assist in other growing functions and other tasks including maintenance of farm machinery.
Key Responsibilities;
Employees have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by employees' actions at work. Employees must co-operate with employers and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements.
1. Accurate and timely application of fertiliser and crop protection products. This may require working outside of normal hours during adverse weather conditions.
2. Maintain and update all application records on the farm recording system.
3. Ensure sufficient levels of chemical and fertiliser are in stock, and storage thereof is compliant
4. Ensure the chemical store is clean and tidy to ensure we are always audit ready
5. To clean and maintain all spraying and spreading equipment and ensure they are audit ready and compliant
6. Maintain the required NRoSO points and comply with local environmental risk assessments
7. Research and trial new application technologies
8. Communicate any issues to the Farm Manager that may jeopardise the quality and safety of the crop
9. Carry out groundwork and other growing tasks particularly at the start and end of season
10. Company Compliance - ensure H&S policies and farm procedures are followed

Additional Details:
Shift Pattern: 5 day week based on Farm Rota, hours will be variable - longer during peak season.
Hours: 40, overtime available
