The Role
We are seeking a Rural Surveyor to join our client's team in the East Midlands region. The role will focus primarily on Valuation and Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) work, serving a broad range of rural sector clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone newly qualified up to five years post-qualification who is eager to advance their career within a respected, values-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Undertaking valuations in accordance with best practice and professional standards

Advising on Compulsory Purchase matters and contributing to strategic case planning

Providing landlord and tenant advice, including legislative guidance

Ensuring full compliance with RICS valuation standards and internal quality controls

Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

Supporting the growth of the rural consultancy service offering

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the rural and wider business

Delivering exceptional client service and clear, persuasive communication

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • AssocRICS or MRICS qualified and an RICS Registered Valuer (essential)
  • 0-5+ years post-qualified experience in rural surveying or consultancy
  • Knowledge of the CPO process and basic tax law
  • Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation and valuation principles
  • Proven ability to analyse, present, and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and confident in building relationships
  • Commitment to client service excellence and ongoing professional development
