The Job Role details:
An exciting opportunity, due to continual growth, has arisen at my clients organisation for an ambitious individual to join as an Country Store - Experienced Deputy Store Manager.
Country Store - Experienced Deputy Store Manager is responsible for every aspect of the day to day running of the store, working with the Store Manager to provide customers with a great shopping experience.
You will be given many opportunities to take your own initiative and responsibility, which means you will be partly able to interpret your position and its future perspective yourself.
Aim of the role:
To be the recognised Country Store - Experienced Deputy Store Manager.
You will be responsible for the realisation of sales targets, ensuring you meet the technical/commercial requirements of the market and for my Clients organisation.
You will also actively promote my clients leadership through platform speaking at meetings and events organised throughout the Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Passionate about sales
Work with the Store Manager to understand the sales performance
Maximise retail sales and achieve budgeted profit target
Walk the floor and create a commercial to-do list
Act as Duty Manager as required
Understand the competitors
Attend shows and events as required
Communicate financial performance to the team
Look for commercial opportunities and feedback appropriately
Ensuring phone and email sales are handled efficiently
Help form appropriate links with the local community
Store Standards
Create a great first impression with commercial displays
Complete ready to trade checklists
Coach and develop the team on what great standards look like
Manage promotions, product seasonality and events, ensure accurate POS and pricing
People Management
Manage day to day deployment
Assist the Store Manager with recruitment
Assist the Store Manager with holiday planning
Assis the Store Manager with performance management
Manage timekeeping and attendance alongside the Admin Supervisor
Ensure any legal responsibilities are met.
Update colleagues with information they need
Coach and develop the team with technical and behavioural skills
Door to Floor
Take ownership of the day to day ordering process
Understand best sellers, promotional and EDV lines
Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in processing deliveries quickly
Ensure product reaches the shelf quickly
Understand and manage stock file accuracy
Manage the Risks
Complete weekly H&S checklists
Follow H&S guidelines and policy at all times
Monitor and control theft and shrinkage
Maintain housekeeping standards, ensure a well-presented site at all times

IDEALLY will have an Agricultural / Farming background

IDEALLY will have an interest in the countryside
IDEALLY will have a a basic understanding of animal husbandry
Additional Information:
28 days holiday per annum.
40hrs per week.

Salary package:
£22,000 - £25,000 depending upon experience - Plus company benefits!!!!
