My clients are a busy, long established, RCVS-accredited, independent family run equine practice.
All of their vets are passionate about horses. They are experts on the best way to keep your horses healthy.
Each of their vets have specific interests within the equine world, from orthopaedics to dentistry, medicine to breeding and surgery to poor performance issues.
Covering Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and parts of Derbyshire and West Yorkshire their vets are dedicated with a passion for their job. They are caring, considerate and compassionate about our patients and understanding about their owners' needs and requirements.
Their experienced equine team of vets provide routine work, such as; Dentistry, Lameness Workup, JMB Measuring, Endoscopy, Stud Work, Lab Testing, Radiography, Shockwave Therapy, Surgery, Internal Medicine, as well as emergency care around the clock for their customers horses, ponies and donkeys.
Provide their own 24 hour emergency service, ensuring that when their customers need them most, they will be there for them.
Experience is strongly preferred but recent grads will be considered.
Cases include principally pleasure & competition horses but some stud and race work if interested.

All of their support staff are horse owners and many compete themselves in different disciplines. However more than anything they live, breath and most importantly work with horses every day. They are the perfect starting point to getting veterinary support for owners and their horses.
The OOH rota is shared equally between the equine vets. 4x4 vehicle is provided, and will be fully serviced and maintained by the practice.
The practice is ideally located on the edge of Manchester - so you can have the best of both worlds. Plenty of local amenities on your doorstep, a short hop into the city for some shopping and lunch (now restrictions are easing up!) and then a drive out to the country for that evening sunset stroll with the wildlife.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at my clients fabulous veterinary practice for a full time Equine Vet Surgeon to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:
My client is seeking an experienced equine vet to join their experienced team of equine vets providing routine work, such as; Dentistry, Lameness Workup, JMB Measuring, Endoscopy, Stud Work, Lab Testing, Radiography, Shockwave Therapy, Surgery, Internal Medicine, as well as emergency care around the clock for their customers horses, ponies and donkeys.
You will be required to work OOH, as my clients provide their own 24 hour emergency service, ensuring that when their customers need them most, they will be there for them.
Experience is strongly preferred but recent grads will be considered.

Ideal Person Skills and Qualifications:
MUST be a qualified RCVS registered Equine Vet.
MUST be a dedicated, genuine team player with a passion for providing the best service they can for all their patients and their owners.
IDEALLY looking for at least 2yrs of UK experience or more, however a confident new graduate would be considered.
IDEALLY would live within 45mins of the practice.
IDEALLY will be interested / confident in scanning.
Additional Information:
5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
4 days fully funded CPD allowance
Pension scheme
40hrs per week - would consider part time.
Salary package:
£35,000 - £85,000+ depending upon experience
PLUS company 4x4, which will be filly serviced and maintained by the practice.
