​Multi-Skilled Agricultural Installation Labourer / Engineer

Location of the Job: Essex, Colchester, Braintree, Chelmsford, Basildon, Harlow and surrounding towns.

The Company: Our client specialises in the design, supply & installation of irrigation, grain & crop storage solutions.

The Industry: Agricultural, Farming, Irrigation, Grain, Crop, Storage Solutions.

The Job Role Details:
This is a varied position and due to the work involved and the nature of the role – our client is looking for multi-skilled people who are not afraid of getting stuck in to some hard work.

Key Responsibilities:
You will:

  • Carry out installation of garden watering systems.

  • Operate and maintain spreaders.

  • Refurbish agricultural buildings.

  • Strip down asbestos off the roofs of redundant grain stores.

  • Work at height which necessitates the use of MEWPS and telehandlers.

  • Use and operate tracked and wheeled trenching equipment.

  • Complete any training required for the position.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be:

  • A real go-getter.

  • Determined and hard-wording.

  • To have grown up on farm and used to the long hours / mucky weather conditions.

  • Have welding experience – although this is desirable and not essential.

  • Happy to travel to customers sites as and when required.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.

  • Normal working hours are 7am - 4pm.

  • You will be required to provide a basic tool kit for work.

Salary Package: A basic hourly pay rate of £10 - £14.50 per hour depending on experience.

Plus Benefits: A company works vehicle and all specialist tools will be provided, a full training programme throughout the year whether that’s first aid, site supervisor training, or indeed specific skills such as welding, non-licensed waste, etc.
