Stockperson / General Farm Worker

The Company;
Family owned dairy farm in Somerset is looking for a reliable person to join a well-established team.
The Job Role;
The role is varied and includes an array of practical & physical tasks. You’ll need to have a high attention for detail, a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene and an ability to work alone, at times – using your initiative, and as part of the wider team.
We are looking for someone who is willing to listen, learn and be flexible.
Key Responsibilities;
The role entails working a grass-based system, all-year round calving, calf rearing, some relief milking.
Assist with Pedigree flock of sheep, seasonal grassland tasks and some arable work.
You need to be able to operate and maintain tractors and machinery.
Candidate Requirements;
Previous practical livestock and farming experience is required
Full UK/EU driving licence is required.
Please note: the role requires early morning starts and weekend work.
You’ll need to be able to reliably commute or relocate before starting employment, accommodation could be provided.
Salary Package;
Competitive Salary – depending on experience.
Additional Details:
At the interview stage tests and assessments will be conducted.
Two recent references required.
